Thanksgiving Break

We just finished up the best break! Unfortunately, it had to come to an end. Josh and I had so much fun spending time with my family this week. On Wednesday all the girls got together at Grandma Marks' and made Christmas crafts that my Aunt Cora brought from Las Vegas. Josh ended up hanging out with all the little boy cousins -- he was such a good sport to let them take over his Super Smash Bros game while he kept me company as I painted.

Thursday and Friday we spent the night at my mom's. It was fun to be able to hang out with my siblings all day long. We played lot's of Super Mario and ate lots of yummy breakfast. Josh was able to experience the magic of Tai Pan Trading with us on Friday. I'm used to going to this store almost every Christmas with my mom.

Friday we decorated for Christmas at my parents. Mom ended up giving me a bunch of her old decorations and I was so excited to be able to decorate my little apartment. Decorating for Christmas is one of my most favorite things! I can't wait to continue doing this tradition with my new little family.

Mom bought us two stockings. I'm so happy we have a fireplace to put them by!

Our Christmas tree. If you look closely, you'll see a bunch of musical instruments. Josh's Grandma Stutz gave these to us as a wedding gift and I've been so excited to get them out and put them on the tree that my mom gave to us. I did go and buy some really cheep plastic ornaments from Dollar Tree (this is where you decorate from when you are poor newlyweds). Once I've finished decorating, I'll be sure to post another picture.
